AN INVITATION TO TRY SOMETHING NEW
Small circle.
Real conversations.
We’re starting OMGText with a private Android SMS pilot, built around a few people and the essentials of a good conversation.
The pilot is invitation-only. There is no public download, signup or subscription checkout yet. If you’ve been invited, the person running your test will provide your account and installation instructions.
What you can try
- A separate US number assigned to your invited account.
- Sending and receiving SMS with up to five approved contacts who agreed to participate.
- A conversation inbox, message states, usage display and conversation blocking.
- A limited test window and message allowance agreed before the test.
Before your first message
- Confirm your invitation. Use the email address agreed with your test organizer and complete email verification.
- Install the provided Android build. Download it only through the installation instructions supplied for your test.
- Check your test details. Confirm your assigned number, approved contacts, end date and sending allowance.
- Keep the app open. Use Wi-Fi or mobile data, send a short message to an approved contact and ask them to reply from their usual SMS app.
A few things to know
The pilot focuses on SMS while OMGText is open. It does not include voice or emergency calling, background push notifications, number purchases or store subscriptions. Public iOS availability and pricing have not been announced.
Your contact can reply STOP to opt out. Don’t resend a message marked uncertain: it may already have reached the recipient. Ask your test organizer to check its status.
Any provider charges and the test budget are agreed with the organizer beforehand. The local demo uses simulated messages; only a separately configured cellular pilot can reach a normal SMS inbox.
Questions or feedback?
Use the contact supplied with your invitation to report an issue, end your test, or ask about your data. Include what happened and when, but don’t send passwords, verification codes or other people’s message contents.
